A quick, non-invasive way to assess your heart’s electrical activity and detect irregular rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, a lead cause of stroke.
Heart rhythm assessments help identify abnormalities in the electrical signals that control your heartbeat. We offer two key tests — a quick resting ECG and extended Holter (ambulatory) monitoring — to capture irregular rhythms such as atrial fibrillation (AF), pauses, extra beats or fast/slow heartbeat patterns.
Early detection of rhythm problems is crucial for preventing complications, including stroke. At Heart Health Hub, our NHS-trained cardiac specialists provide safe, accurate assessments with clear explanations and rapid results, helping you understand what’s happening with your heart.
Resting ECG
Small stickers (electrodes) are placed on your chest, arms and legs while you lie still. These record your heart’s electrical signals for a few seconds. The test is painless, safe and takes around 5 minutes.
Holter / Ambulatory Monitoring
For extended rhythm analysis, we fit small electrodes connected to a lightweight portable recorder worn from 24, 48, 72 hours or 7 days. This captures your heartbeat continuously as you go about your daily routine, helping detect intermittent symptoms that don’t always appear during a resting ECG.
Both tests are comfortable and non-invasive.
You can continue your normal activities, including work and exercise — just avoid getting the device wet if wearing a Holter monitor.
All recordings are analysed by experienced cardiac specialists, with clear results delivered within 3–5 working days. We’ll explain any irregularities, discuss next steps and arrange further testing or priority consultant review if required.
At Heart Health Hub, our goal is to give you clarity, confidence and expert guidance in understanding your heart rhythm.
Whether you’re seeking a simple check-up, investigating symptoms or need structured rehab, our full range of non-invasive heart services is here for you.
Cardiac Risk Assessment
A basic heart health indicator that identifies your risk of heart disease, stroke or high blood pressure — helping you take control early.
Echocardiogram
A non-invasive ultrasound scan to assess structure and function of the heart, looking at the heart structure and function.
Heart Rhythm Assessments
A quick, non-invasive way to assess your heart’s electrical activity and detect irregular rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, a lead cause of stroke.
Cardiac Screening
A thorough evaluation to assess your heart health and identify potential risks before they become serious. Available from the age of 14+. This service is for those who currently have no symptoms.
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Test that checks for high (hypertension) or low (hypotension) blood pressure — sometimes explaining the reason behind symptoms such as "white coat syndrome", dizziness, headaches or other unexplained symptoms.
Cardiovascular Rehabilitation
Personalised one-to-one or small group programme designed to help you recover safely, rebuild confidence, potentially prevent cardiac events and improve long-term heart health after a cardiac event or diagnosis.
